A wonderful, unusual, Edwardian era ring, modeled in rose gold and silver, whose primary gem is a large, round, cat's eye moonstone cabochon. This white moonstone is set in a low-profile, rose gold bezel, where it is surrounded by ahaloof eighteen, natural, rose cut diamonds—it has aprominent, glowing, vertical eye that shifts with movement! The old rosecut diamonds have large, irregular, mirror-like facets— theynest in a continuous collect setting, which is undulating and ribbon-like. The ring's under-gallery is engraved with adelicatepattern of laurels. Its slender shank is split at the shoulders, curled, anddecorated withan adorable pair of applied scallop shells. Therest of the ring shank isdecorativelynotched. We love the way this ring plays with light— the rose cuts catch and throw light in various directions, while the shifting moonstone absorbs it. . . and we love the manybeautiful details hiding below the ring's broad shining face!
